Imagine being the head of a national ACSI office in Africa. You oversee 50 schools throughout the country. As a mentor to the schools’ leaders, you must meet face-to-face because the Internet is as unreliable as the public transportation you’re forced to use. You can rent a motorcycle, but the schools are sometimes hours away and at the end of a dirt road.  

Grace Turkyakira faces this reality every day—but never complains about it. She cheerfully carries out her role as mentor, encourager, organizer, prayer partner, teacher, website builder, and trainer despite her lack of support staff, technical equipment, and perhaps most importantly, reliable transportation.  

It was clear after talking to Grace this past year that she needs a car, although she never brought it up herself. Grace has big dreams and a wonderful plan for the ACSI Uganda office, and we’d love to help her meet her goals in the coming years. 

This Giving Tuesday, we’re trying to raise $20,000 to purchase a car for Grace. Join us in spreading the gospel message by supporting Grace in her efforts to build up Christian school administrators, teachers, and students in Uganda.
