“No nation can rise above the level of its teachers” - Professor Mopela Omoegun
A Christ-Centered Investment Equipping teachers with a biblical worldview is a Kingdom investment—essential for preparing the next generation. Recent empirical research conducted in Africa has shown a strong link between teachers' quality and conditions and their students' academic performance. Thus, investing in African teachers is a direct investment in the success of their students.
Created and Developed by Africans At a roundtable gathering of over 230 African educational and church leaders from 30 African countries and seven other nations, a shared vision emerged—to equip the African church, families, and schools. This leadership think tank produced a strategic guide aimed at strengthening Christian education and ministry, complete with action plans and best practices. A key priority identified was teacher training: the goal is to equip 1 million teachers in biblical worldview and integration by 2050. The group agreed that launching a teacher certification program through regional pilot projects would be the most effective next step. They also recognized that partnering with a broad network of qualified African Christian universities, theological seminaries, and Bible institutes would be the most suitable way to implement the certification program on a continental scale. |
